Salvatore Brothers and the Curupira

The new character to next season...Read and Enjoy...

A blast of light came in zigzag fast motion through the trees and stop in the middle of the forest like a lightning struck in a storm.  Damon and Stefan were hidden by the darkness and they looked at each other while kept themselves very still and watching.

The Salvatore brothers´ eyes opened amazed when they saw that guy appeared from the flames. The stranger looked around and such weird platinum light just lighted up his eyes. He was shirtless and a long and very red hair flew with the wind.

The stranger tilted his head from one side e looked at them. Three of them stared each other for some seconds and with any interest about their presence, the guy took from the waistband a T-shirt that he wore quickly and tied his long hair with an elastic.  He put both of hands inside the pocked of his jeans and with no discomfort about the cold weather, he started walking towards city.

“What the hell ?”   Damon asked his brother and was too much astonished.

“I don´t know. I´ve never seen anything like this before.”    Stefan´s voice was quiet but worried.

“Where is he from? And he had a kind of lantern instead of eyes?”

“I have no idea Damon, but we have to know what he is doing here.”

The brothers followed the track left by fire, but once they were out of forest and arrived in the city, they lost the steps of that weird stranger. Both of them were attentive to conversations around to detect something different that could expose the guy, but they found nothing.

Rico breathed in the air and looked around. His platinum eyes lighted up when he saw the vampires. He didn´t give any importance and took off his T-shirt from the waistband to wear it.

He tied his hair and started walking. He was in hurry to track the whole city.

While he walked, he smelled the vampire scent everywhere. His thoughts were that it would be a shit to work with animists warriors in a place full of vampires. It would be very hard to them to keep their instincts refrained nearby a crown of blood suckers going around.

The Curupira was happy to not need to deal with such a bunch of vampire in every single place in Brazil. They were a kick in the ass. Strong, snobs creatures that usually behaved like bully guys, very difficult to kill as well. Rico had no friendship feelings for them and felt very satisfied to run into few of them along his twenty-one years old.

Rico watched the small and charmed Mystic Falls and felt his blood boiling. His girl was over there in some unknown and hidden place and he would find her. He´d kill the motherfuckers who were keeping her captive. The myth looked around him. It was dawn and people still were sleeping.

He bent down on the grass of the main square and materialized his small spheres of fire. After, he ordered by thoughts that they spread themselves around and looked for Clara.

The small furry ball of fire rolled in the air at the speed of light and he leaned against the trunk of tree to wait for answers.  Coming along the street a couple was walking while their arms were around each other while they laughed  seeming to be in their own world. Rico looked to another side and expelled the cold air by his nose as a funny puff.

Faster than human eyes could keep up, a thirsty vampire attacked them. First he broke the neck of the boyfriend who dropped dead on the ground, after he took a scary and hysterical girl and sucked the blood from his vein.

Rico still watched the satisfaction of the blood sucker when he raised his head with his preys absolutely stained with blood. Damn blood drinkers, they were everywhere in that city. The vampire looked at Curupira and seconds later he was less than half meter from him.

Rico didn´t move any muscle of his body. He was unmoved of this kind of attack. Vampires ran away of the heat that emanated from his body, but maybe because of cold air, the vampire in front of him had no notice how hot he was and got closer than would be possible if they were in the warm weather of the hell from Brazil.

The Curupira´s pupils glowed in warning and his head tilted to the side watching the creature. The red eyes stared at him and very tiny veins showed and vanished quickly in his face while he groaned furiously. His teeth too much stained of blood were in evidence.

For sure that stupid vampire was a new one or he wouldn´t be over there considering his chances with Rico. The myth saw the first spheres of fire light up and step forward to touch them. He was so eager for information.

When he took the first step, he was surprised by the vampire who jumped in his neck. As fast as him, the Curupira threw him far away. The vampire´s attitude brought his rage out and altered his state of mind and he felt his body become very hot with the mythological transformation and consume his T-shirt in seconds.

The damned creature came back furiously and knocked him over unexpectedly. When his hand touched the Curupira´s chest he felt them burn and jumped back yelling and watched his toasted fingers.

Rico slid his hand along his hair and so threw two balls of fire on the vampire who was consumed by flames.

“Damned.”

The Curupira bent down and took one of sphere in his hand. With no surprise he concluded that there was nothing about Clara around there. He looked himself and to his naked chest. So, he realized that had no spare clothes to wear. He walked towards guy who had the neck broke minutes ago, took his T-shirt and wore it.

Damon turned a glass of whisk and thought about the man who had been seen in the forest. He drank all the liquid and got up.  Mystic Fall was so small and had no too much places to go or to accommodate foreign people. He thought that if he had a bit of luck, maybe he could find the comet-man before the sunrise.

He drove around and passed by some obvious places and guessed that they weren´t so obvious actually if it could be considered that,  the hairy guy was over there.  So, Damon decided that once he was on the street, he could search for a fresh meal to close that night.

He has heard sounds and saw a boyfriend and girlfriend coming along. He became a blast behind them and suddenly he was in front of a scene where other vampire was sucking the girl´s neck.

Damon felt angry and turned his eyes. He was going to show to that dumb new vampire how to deal with corpses appropriately before that stupid could spoil the vampire secret in front of the entire city, when he saw the new little vampire attacking someone who was leaned against the trunk of the tree at the main square.

Damon hardly believe when he saw who was the victim and it was everything so quickly that there wasn´t time to think about it…. For heaven´s sake…he just…just…burned the new vampire as if he was a sheet of paper.

“But, how did he do that? Maybe he is a kind of wizard…”

“No, Stefan, he is not a wizard at all, he is a little bad monster of the space”  Damon  has narrowed his eyes while he thought a bit.  “Doesn’t matter who he is, but what he does and I saw him setting on fire a vampire as quick as you can blink. We have to kill him.

“Damon, first at all we need to know who he is or what he is and just after we will be able  to deal with him. Otherwise we can finish exactly like that vampire killed tonight.

“Do it whatever you want brother, but I am not staying here just waiting for some hairy freak out guy set little balls of fire on me.”

“What have you done with corpses?”

“I tied them to a stone and threw in the river.”

“And where has the creature gone?”

“He´s back to the forest, but no before to steal the T-shirt of the broken neck guy, what means that he´ll be walking around tomorrow morning as an ordinary person.”

“Let´s warning the others about it.”

“Say nothing yet, just ask them to go to the Grill at noon.”

Stefan sent a SMS to Elena, Caroline, Bone, Matt and Tayler.

Rico tracked the whole forest trying to get something important and it will be useful to find Clara. He ordered to spheres to keep looking for her and got back to the city. The animist should be arriving anytime and they will be ready to act.

Mystic Falls was beautiful in daylight and was crowned, so Rico doesn´t go unnoticed. He was very tall and strong one that´s why people couldn´t avoid facing him.  His red and long hair really drew people´s attention.  His white and soft skin was a perfect blend with those emerald green eyes and a new and fresh face in a very small city caused a commotion. Rico became in an attractive stranger so quickly and people were very curious about him.

He stopped walking and looked around, so he saw the Mystic Grill and decided to wait for the animists boys over there. When he got into the restaurant he had all attention´s people focused on him. The guy took a seat and ordered something really strong to drink.

Rico propped up his elbows on the counter and thought about his girlfriend. His face became soft when her image came into his mind. Her perfect and beautiful face smiling at him. He felt as if his guts were been took out of his body and wondered if she was fine. There were three days since she disappeared and the only thing he had got it was the information that she had been brought to this city of weird name.

He has arrived first because he travelled like a comet through woods and open fields. The animists warriors had to travel by plane and this let everything delayed.  Rico looked at clock and it lasts just half hour to estimated time by lince.

He drank his drink and heard a noise group of people got in. He looked over his shoulders and saw two girls and one boy next him.

“Stefan asked us to wait here.”

A tall blond girl, very well-dressed was talked to other brunette girl. This one made him remember Clara - his girlfriend- she had a straight and long brown hair. The guy together them looked like impatient and say nothing.

“Tayler, would like to eat something?”

“No, where is Stefan?”

“Over there”

Rico didn´t turned to see who was the guy who they were waiting for. He had no interest in anyone. The only person who was on top of his interesting was a hostage of some moron in a hidden place around this city.

Stefan greeted Caroline , Elena and Tayler and joined them in the table. Damon came and took a seat as well.

“What´s the matter Stefan?” Elena´s voice was worried.

“Seems that we have no identified creature in the city.”

“What you mean no identified?”

Damon summarized what he and his brother has watched in the forest last night.

“He threw  balls of fire on the new vampire?”

“Yep. As fast as you can think…but hey you cannot think quickly, can you Caroline?”

Caroline was ready to answer his rude joke, but Elena asked a new question.

“Who was the vampire who was burned?”

“An idiot who was created by someone very stupid, but the point here is; He set fire on vampires in the blink of an eye and we must find and kill him. “

Tayler talked at the first time since they were over there.

“And how can we kill him if he is so fast to set fire to people?”

Before to get his question answered, three boys got into the Grill and the vampires looked at them waiting to find the shooter, but all of them had a very short hair.

The vampires followed the young guys with their eyes and so Damon groaned angrily when he recognized the creature sit in front of counter.

“We are a bunch of beautiful blind jerks.”

“What?” Elena started feeling a bit annoying.

“We are looking for someone who is just over there.”

All of them turned to look and Tayler asked.

“The ginger guy on the counter?”

“Bingo.”

All their powerful ears were paying attention to the conversation of those foreigners who settled themselves down beside the shooter.

The Curupira felt his body tensed and he knew they had arrived. He turned his head to see Cheh, Joshua and Finn walked towards him.

“Any news?”

The lince of Canadá patronized guy, as always, was eager to get some information. He was the Clara´s best friend and he did justice to this.  He was worried and desperate to find her as much as Rico was.  Cheh - the falcon-boy -  and Finn – the crocodile man – they all were very faithful Clara´s friend.

“Nope. My angras looked for the whole city and nothing. But she is here and I´m not going anywhere without her.”

The boy nodded.  Joshua had a look to the Rico´s glass.

“ Seriously, are you drink in broad daylight?”

Rico didn´t answer him, before he had to warn the boys about the infestation of vampire concentrated in that town.

“This place is infested by vampires. You guys have to control your instincts, otherwise we´ll be in troubles and we cannot draw any attention beyond we´ve already got.

Cheh clarified something to him.

“We got it. But don´t worried about it because we don´t hunt vampires.”

The Curupira looked at falcon very curious.

“Don´t you react against them?”

“Nope”

“Why not?”

“Because vampires aren´t legendary creatures. They are everywhere and don´t compose any kind of family strain. That´s why the vampire hunters are different from us and don’t fit in our nature.”

“So, that´s good.”

Rico got up and put some bucks on the counter , after he told them.

“We have a lot to do.”

Joshua didn´t refrain himself.

“How did you get dollars from yesterday night to now”

“I borrowed.”

“Rico, can´t you act correctly just once in your life?”

The Curupira started walking to exit and had his back to him, but he stopped and turned to face the lince. They were side by side to vampire table when he replied the animist boy.

“Let all that stupid animists scrupulous behind us lince. I want to let my point very clearly. We are here to find Clara and doesn´t matter to me who is gonna died or to be hurt in the end. I´ll rescue her at all costs and I don´t want to feel limited by anyone, especially because of stupid questions of honor.”

Joshua, the lince, faced the Curupira without alter himself a miserable inch of his conviction.

“We don´t kill one hundred percent human Rico and you know that. We´re gonna fight together you but you have a promise to fulfill and I´m not gonna let you forget about it not even a minute of our entire day.

Finn interrupted the tension between the boys .

“Can we do this without both of you kill each other?”

Rico nodded .

The vampires have heard and watched everything in shock. Finn looked at them knowing exactly what they were. Cheh, Joshua and Rico glance at five who were facing them. Any word has been said, the Curupira turned himself and walked through the door and was followed by animists boys.

“What the hell?” Caroline was so tensed “ They know about vampires and just don´t care.

Stefan stared at Damon who narrowed his eyes trying to remember something. Tayler asked seeming a bit astonished.

“What did he mean by animists scrupulous?”

Nobody could answered that, but Damon looked at them with a superior and conceited look. He smiled, a superb smile and said.

“They are animists, of course.”

“What means?”  Stefan´s voice sounded incredulous, not just because the matter was totally unknown to everyone but especially by Damon got this kind of information.

Damon explained.  “ They are such a hunters of nature myths.”

Caroline asked a bit skeptical about his explanation. “How did you know that?”

“Because I´ve met someone like them about fifty years ago at Canada, little blond.”

Damon leaned his body on the table and carried on.

“They are patronized by animals souls when they were born and sustain two different nature in their human body with very special skills.  They just hunt myth from strain, what means lineage, if you guys don´t know. That´s why they cannot hunt us, we weren´t born vampires, we are turned into and that detail is the reason that they don´t react to our presence.”

“But the ginger shooter has another powers.”

Damon puffed impatient.

“´Cause the comet-man is not like them. Didn´t hear their conversation, hybrid?”

Stefan interrupted the Damon´s explanation.

“The guy called Rico is looking for someone named Clara. He had no interest about us and his animists friends haven´t either.  So, there´s nothing to worry about.

Damon gazed at him very stupefied.

“Nothing to worry about? Seriously? He throws small furry balls of fire and can turn you into a piece of coal in just thirty seconds and you think that there´s no reason to worry about? For God´s sake Stefan, I really don´t know what to do to you anymore,  brother.

“Damon, listen to me... he burned the new vampire because the stupid attacked him.”

“Ok, you can stay exactly where you are, but I´m gonna chase them to try to know what is that thing and why they are here.

Elena agreed to Damon and tried to convince the others.

“We can keep one eye on them for a while, just to be sure everything it´s ok… What if we tried to find this girl… Clara?”

“What do you thinking, Elena?”

Stefan was surprised that Elena could agree to Damon. He guessed she had seen something beyond what they had watched till now.

“We have no idea what else this Rico can do beyond using his powerful balls of fire and I was thinking if Klaus discovers that we have a natural fire shooter in the town… I mean, he´d have a powerful weapon in his hand to use against all of us, wouldn´t he?

Damon widened his eyes and nodded.

“Sure. Who guarantees that it wasn´t Klaus who kidnapped the girl? Maybe he already knows everything and it´s manipulating all situation.”

Damon got up.

“Where are you going to?”

“I´m gonna look for facts, little brother. We have to know why those animist are here, who is the man-of-fire, who is the missing girl, where are they from and where will they go.”

Damon smiled and left the place.

Joshua and the others booked a B&B rooms and over there they planned their first actions joined all the information they got.

“Clara got to tell me just she was in this city. They should be keeping her sedated.”

“Or in such a place where your thoughts can´t reach hers.”

“My thoughts can reach hers everywhere around the world lince.”

“You wrong. You can´t feel her when she is inside the Valley because of our animist power concentrated over there. So, here can have a place with some kind of power that blocks or even protect people from any communication. She is with Carl and he knows that you and she have this kind of connection.

The boys has agreed with Joshua. Cheh thought a bit and told.

“Don´t you think that it´s weird he has brought her to a city infested by vampires? What´s the reason? Because honestly I think this can say something.

Rico didn´t know too much about the vampire lifestyle, but he guessed that the falcon was right. Finn also said.

“There should be something else than vampire thing here. Some place or someone of Carls ´s interest. He is crazy about this new possibility to create the new strain of myth-animists.

“Whatever, it´s not here. We have to track every single place where someone can be hidden without seems suspicious.
